幼児教育は、家族・教育・社会・文化が交じり合う場であり、子どもたちが家庭という生活の巣から初めて離れ、より広い社会や文化と関わりを得る場所です。
その幼児教育の場をフィールドとして、研究をしています。ミクロからマクロにわたって、時に子どもや保育者、時に教育政策や社会変化に焦点をあてています。

I am conducting research in the field of early childhood education. Early childhood education is a place where family, education, society, and culture interact and where young children first move beyond their family to experience the larger society and culture.
My research includes both micro-analyses of how preschool teachers interact with children and more macro-analyses of the impacts on preschools of educational policy reforms and, more broadly, of social change.
