社会性や情緒の発達／Social-Emotional Development
- 子どもたちは、社会の一員になることを学び、そして、感情を表現することと、他者の感情に反応することの両方を学びます。このような子どもたちの社会性や情緒の発達が、いつ、どこで、どのようになされ、また、保育者は、その発達をどのように支援しているのかを研究しています。
- Children everywhere need to learn to be a member of their society. Children also need to learn how to express their feelings and to respond to others’ emotions. I am conducting research on when, where, and how social-emotional development happens, and how preschool teachers support young children’s social-emotional development.
